Privacy isn't a feature, it's the whole point

Most VPNs are marketing companies that happen to run servers. Barra is a connectivity tool built around one promise: we don't know what you do online.

No logs. Ever.

No traffic logs, no DNS logs, no connection records tied to your identity. If we are ever compelled to share data, all we have is your subscription state.

7 regions, hand-picked

Finland, Germany, Netherlands, Turkey, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Serbia. Servers chosen for reliability where users actually go.

Built for tough networks

Hysteria2 over QUIC, with Shadowsocks-2022 fallback. DPI-resistant by design, so it works where ordinary VPNs get blocked.

Apple-only sign in

Sign in with Apple. No passwords, no email scraping, no third-party auth servers. Your Apple ID stays with Apple.

Things people ask

Is Barra really no-logs?

Yes. Our servers do not retain traffic, DNS queries or connection logs tied to your identity. What we do collect is named explicitly in the privacy policy: Apple user identifier, subscription status, and your in-app preferences (which sync via iCloud, not our servers).

Will it work where I am?

Barra uses Hysteria2 (a QUIC-based protocol) by default, with automatic fallback to Shadowsocks-2022. Both look like regular HTTPS traffic to network operators, so they pass through most restrictive networks where WireGuard or OpenVPN get blocked.

How is this different from a regular VPN?

Two things. The protocols (Hysteria2 and SS-2022) are newer and far harder to block. And the size: a small operation focused on a handful of high-quality servers, not a megavendor monetizing a free tier with logs.

How many devices can I use?

Your subscription is tied to your Apple ID. Use Barra on every iPhone and iPad signed into that Apple ID. Family Sharing support is on the roadmap.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Cancel from iOS Settings, Apple ID, Subscriptions, or from Barra's own Settings screen. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period.
