ScriptFlow Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

ScriptFlow collects the following data to provide its core functionality:

  • Audio Data: When you use the rehearsal recording feature, audio is recorded and processed on-device for speech analysis (filler word detection, WPM pacing). Recordings are stored locally and synced via your private iCloud container.
  • Video Data: When you use the video recording feature, video is captured and stored locally on your device.
  • User Content: Scripts you create or import are stored locally and synced via your private iCloud container.
  • Contact Information: If you contact support, your email address and any information you provide will be used to respond to your inquiry.
  • User ID: An anonymous identifier for managing your subscription status and app settings.

2. How We Use Your Data

All data is used exclusively for app functionality:

  • Audio recordings are analyzed on-device to detect filler words and measure speaking pace. Recordings are not uploaded to external servers.
  • Video recordings are stored on-device for export to your photo library or files.
  • Scripts are stored and synced via your personal iCloud account for use across your devices.
  • Contact information is used only to respond to support requests.

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored in one of two locations:

  • On-device: Most data (recordings, scripts, analytics) is stored locally using SwiftData, Apple's on-device persistence framework.
  • iCloud (CloudKit): Scripts and rehearsal data are synced to your private CloudKit container. This data is encrypted in transit and at rest using Apple's standard encryption. ScriptFlow does not have access to your iCloud data.

4. Third-Party Services

ScriptFlow does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The App does not share your data with any third parties.

Payment processing is handled entirely by Apple's StoreKit framework. ScriptFlow never receives or stores your payment information.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

Your data remains on your device and in your iCloud account for as long as you use the App. To delete all data, delete the App from your devices. CloudKit data can be managed through your iCloud settings. You can request deletion of any data we hold by contacting us.

6. On-Device Processing

Where possible, data processing happens entirely on your device:

  • Speech analysis (filler words, WPM) runs on-device using AVAudioEngine.
  • AI script features (rewrite, summarize, shorten, translate) use Apple Intelligence (FoundationModels) and process entirely on-device.
  • Eye contact analysis uses ARKit/Vision and processes entirely on-device.

7. No Tracking

ScriptFlow does not track your activity across other apps or websites. We do not use cookies, device fingerprinting, or any form of user tracking.

8. Children's Privacy

ScriptFlow is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

9. Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)

If you are in the EEA or California, you have rights regarding your data, including access, correction, deletion, and portability. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@scriptflow.app.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified via the App or email.
